Vegan & Vegetarian Diets

Looking to transition to a plant based diet? Already a long time vegetarian and wanting to make specific changes or have questions regarding nutrient intake? With over 7 years of personal experience in vegan and vegetarian nutrition and fitness, we can help you make a transition that ensures adequate intake of all necessary nutrients without compromising taste or your favorite foods. We can also assist with specific meal plans for plant-based athletes and runners as well as pregnant mamas.

Pregnancy Nutrition

Whether you are trying to conceive, in early stages of pregnancy, or looking for postnatal or breastfeeding support, we can assist with the changing nutrition needs of each stage of pregnancy. Sessions will focus on topics including supplement needs, increased calorie intake, managing morning sickness, handling digestion changes, meal prep and freezer meal ideas, and much more.

Food Allergies

With training in the top 8 U.S. allergens, we are equipped to help you navigate the various terminology, food labels, and products that contain wheat, soy, dairy, peanuts, fish, shellfish, eggs, and tree nuts. We can also provide education and training around other unique allergens or combinations of allergens that make navigating meal time difficult.

Gluten Free & Celiac Needs

If you have an allergy or intolerance that requires you to avoid gluten, we can help you navigate the food labels and confusing terminology around what is and is not safe to eat. Sessions will focus on understanding what gluten is, what foods it is found in (including the sneaky ones!), how to read food labels, navigating restaurants and dining with friends, and meal ideas everyone can enjoy.

FODMAP & SIBO

Low FODMAP diets are commonly prescribed for patients suffering from IBS and other various digestive and gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. FODMAP is an acronym for specific carbohydrates that are known to trigger issues due to malabsorption. If you’ve been prescribed a low FODMAP diet, it may be confusing to navigate exactly which foods are and are not safe and how to begin eliminating these trigger foods from your diet. We will walk through the transition with you and your physician, providing education and resources along the way, and answer any questions you have. Whether temporary or a lifelong change, it is possible to enjoy meals while managing your diagnosis.
